Cheyenne, (shi-en', -an'), ethnic origin: American Indian, tribal name.
Ame, Ewe (togolese dialect), born on Saturday.

After 9 long months in Mums belly the doctors at the hospital decided that it was about time for me to see the light of the world. This was on May 8th 2004 at 2.59 p.m.

I was 20.079 inches tall (51 cm) and weighed 7.055 pounds (3200g).

On that day my first visitor was my Auntie and Godmother Diana, my Mum’s sister. On the next day, the whole family came to visit as well as Mum’s best friend Judith and her cousin.

After five days we were finally allowed to go home, since I developed very well and Mum felt good after the c-section.

The first days home went by smoothly and Dad was home to help Mum. The midwife came on a regular basis to weight me and to check on Mummy.

On August 15th, 2004 I was baptized together with my cousin Davin. In September my first trip took me to the States to visit Dad’s family.

Mid-October 2004 I started going to the day-care as Mum had to go back to work in November. I loved it there from the beginning. I am in a group with 7 other children and we have a lot of fun. We eat, sing and play together. We are going out to the park, to the playground. We are doing indoor activities like painting, playing in the 'motion room' ect. The childminders are all very nice!

Well, now you have an idea about the first month in my life and in future you will find important steps / developments in my life in 'my journal'.

Please leave me a message in our guestbook.

Thank you for visiting my page!
